Sunday Starts with Sun!

So, the good news is, the sun is shining at last, and things look much clearer out of the fog.  We do, however, remain in "the proverbial fog" on several fronts.  A very busy week in which we have managed to teach all the grades the difference between "atmosphere", "environment" and the meaning of "pollution" much to their initial horror then delight.  Have quickly come to realize that while these kids can recite from memory nearly anything in a book, actual Understanding of what the words MEAN is a whole different kettle of fish.  So, took them out of the fishbowl and into the field, literally. In an unprecedented move, I took them out of the classroom,down the stairs, hopping over things Nobody wants to step in, and had a very practical lesson on the environment and pollution.  This week,  will continue with every class planting a tree...
Have a pile of excercise books to check, so more updates later, with many tales of tailors, sari's and forgotten Persian empires!
