The Terrifying Freedom Of Opportunity

Ok, think about that one for a nano second, muse a moment... We are working off the One Door Closes, Another Opens theory. Here we are. Standing in a dark,  hall, doors radiating around us like a spokes on an expanding wheel. Without light, this leaves one crawling around on the floor trying to see which door has any  light coming from under the door cracks..

We are, faced with all possible choices to various futures. Call it Matrix, or Quantum or just Limbo. It's a moment in life that is marked as a cross-road. The division for all those parallel possibilities. Doors to Life A, B or C..  Suddenly, the dark hall has a certain appeal.  Time to yoga breathe! Me personally, as a general rule, tend to choose  doors that also have some muffled music coming through... Point being, until that door opens and the light floods the hallway, all those doors of opportunity to choose, can be vaguely terrifying. Nightmare vs Dream stuff.

Coffee commentary on life.

This particular Hallway has been weird with an alluring twist to the terrifying. Imagine, if you will a strange and curious world. Just around the corner of your eye, across a twisted, river. It is the color of beach-glass, fading into the sun.  I cross the bridge, and find Fred Astair tap dancing in Lederhosen. His partner is a Corn Lady twirling neon yellow husks.  I follow a daisy path to a Church of Rock n Roll where Harley Davidson has a personal pew.  A child beckons me to play gigantic chess with only white pieces for both sides. A color-less war.. Under the music I hear the ghostly wail of invisible trains.  I know, around the next corner, there must be a Jabberwocky...

Turn slowly, there is another door and, a Bridge. It is festooned with gigantic sunflowers and a farmer who looks like Santa Claus.  Here, the fields are all green and in the distance, I can almost see a white picket fence.  This Door opens to terrifying opportunity.  I don't hear music just yet, but I am sticking my fingers under the door to see if anything bites..

Curious and Curiouser...
