Coffee Shop Conversations
The news is - well, not worthy. Trumpeting and braying, one can find small humorous comfort in the party symbols being somewhat relevant to the situation. Both are full of asses and trumpeting lies. So, what else is new.
On a table in the corner, a heated debate on The Mexican Wall. Call in the Millennials, they can build it with an App and ensure lots of "followers". Which leads me to a thought. What changed in society that suddenly it's all about Following? Back in The Day, we were charging ahead to lead the Pack and didn't give a damn about being followed. And, we certainly would have something to say about any unlucky bastard who tried to "poke" or "twitter" on about us. It's a Brave New World that last a virtual minute before streaming on.
It's all Apples and some lemons. Dear Apple, watch out for worms in the batch. You may have to grow up and pay taxes like the rest of the adults.. Now you know how we feel when we have to pay for all those upgrades..
Am liking today's coffee venue. Very Tolkien-ish with spacey music. The last one, did have fresh baked cinnamon donuts but needed a breath of fresh air, literally. Dudes, open a window!
Limited seating is the bane of this city, right after parking. And rents! Don't forget skyrocketing rents. Recently visited a friend who moved into a trendy 1 bedroom, downtown. I use the term 1 bedroom very lightly. The entire apartment was the size of my current suburbia bedroom. Hmmm, looking up at the unfinished ceiling, I was left wondering if the construction marks left on the rough cement were to added to the cost under; "art".
