End Of The World- Again..

As the wind whistles through the windows, am stuck with a REM song in my head; "It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine"... Short of earthquakes, snakes and other natural occurrences, so far, the world looks to survive yet Another End.

They have been predicting the End of The World since the Romans in 634 with 12 eagles. Since then a motley crew of self-proclaimed prophets have keep everyone excited for several hundred years. In my lifetime alone, have faced off the Apocalypse at least 30 times, and that was just Before 2000.  Really wish these guys would get together in a locked room and talk to each other or simply End It... After Fridays End, (is it Aliens, asteroids or the Anti-Christ) there are already a list of New End Dates.  In case your interested, that would be; 2018,2020 and 2029. That is the Short List...

What is this endless fascination with The End.  Personally it all echoes a Grimm's Fairy tale, except we lost the plot.  At least in the fairy tales, there Is an End. Happily Ever After version and all the monsters slain.  Seems we have lost our ability to view the positive and been reduced to zombies and idiotic reality shows, which most of us would seriously love to see The End of.  What's the point?  Short term plan to revive the economy with splurge spending on Survival Items? Again, people, if the World Is Ending- do you Really need all that toilet paper?...
As for the Zombies, after your brain is mush, will you care about the toilet paper?
Having lived in India, I value toilet paper, don't get me wrong, but all rolls in the world can't cushion the End of The World, can they?

Having now left you with a load of rhetorical questions, will End this all with by wishing everyone a very quiet and repetitive End of the World day.

The END.

  1. Never meet your idols (or ex girlfriends), sorry but this is just plain boring now!

  2. As with all things, time comes to an end. We look upon the waters watching the waves of destruction frightened by the turbulent waters. We forget, though, that the waters will once again become tranquil.

Death is not the end, just the beginning of a new cycle.
